The Idea of Mastery
The word ‘itqaan’ in Arabic means ‘perfection’, ‘precision’, or ‘mastery’. Itqaan Institute is dedicated to transmitting perfection, precision and mastery of Qur’anic recitation as a way of seeking closeness to God and following his Prophet ﷺ.
Our intention is to preserve and foster love for the book of God by connecting our students to living masters of Qur’anic recitation with the shortest sanad (chain of transmission) which goes back to the Prophet himself ﷺ.
We believe that one should not settle in their learning of the Qur’an, and learn from the best if they are able. Itqaan’s mission to facilitate this.
